Forget the loud crowded bars and standing around waiting for midnight. This New Year's Eve, we are taking the celebration to the shores of Daytona. For the 3rd year, Barefoot Philosophy is bringing its New Year's Eve Fireside Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular to Daytona Beach with two ways to experience the magic of midnight.

Whether you are surrounded by your favorite people or sitting beside someone you've just met, there's something about gathering around a fire on the sand that makes the night feel a little more special.​

Step outside your usual circle and pull up a chair around the fire. The Countdown Social brings together locals, solo adventurers and anyone who believes a great conversation can turn strangers into friends with no pressure to be anything but yourself. As midnight approaches, raise a toast to new beginnings and welcome 2027 with fireworks over the ocean waves. ​

Don't wait until 9:30 to start celebrating. Make plans to arrive in Daytona Beach early and enjoy the annual New Year's Eve Party on Main Street. Explore live music, street performers, grab something to eat from a food truck and soak up the excitement as the city gets ready to welcome 2027. When you've had your fill of festivities, head toward the Pier and join us on the sand. Your fire will be waiting. Kick off your shoes and enjoy the final hours of 2026 without fighting for a place to sit.

Where does the New Year’s Eve Beach Party take place?
Our fireside celebration takes place on Daytona Beach between the Pier and Ocean Deck Beach Bar. Detailed arrival instructions and meeting information will be provided before the event.

Is there a landmark to help me locate this event?
Look for the Slingshot Amusement Ride. Head in that direction towards the ocean. The fires are directly behind this ride on the beach. You can also locate Harvey Ave. This is a beach ramp for Beach Safety vehicles entering the beach. Walk straight down this road and onto the beach. You will see the fires.

What time does the celebration begin?
Your reserved beach fire experience runs from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM. We recommend arriving in Daytona Beach earlier to enjoy the Main Street festivities and to secure parking before heading to the beach.

How will I know which fire or seat is mine?
A member of our Beach Tribe will greet you upon arrival and show you to your seat or private fire, whichever you booked. Your name will also be located on an adirondack chair. You can easily locate our Beach Tribe, they will be wearing glow in the dark necklaces.

Can I attend by myself?
Absolutely. The Countdown Social is designed for guests who want to celebrate without organizing a group. Reserve your seat and enjoy the evening around a shared fire with up to nine other guests.

Is The Countdown Social a singles event?
No. It’s a social gathering for anyone who enjoys meeting new people. Couples, friends, solo travelers, locals, and visitors are all welcome.

Are there games set up on the beach?
This year we will have a dedicated cornhole area surrounded by market lighting for guests to mingle and play.

Are there any add on items?
Ice filled cooler, extra sparklers, hot dog packages, bt speakers and blankets to name a few.

Can I bring my own beverages to place in the cooler?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your favorite beverages or snacks that require being chilled.

Will I have my own chair at a shared fire?
Yes. Every Countdown Social ticket includes an Adirondack chair at a beach fire shared with a maximum of 10 guests. Everyone will have a party hat, noise makers, s'mores and a giant sparkler.

Can I reserve an entire fire for my family or friends?
Yes. Our Private Fire package includes up to eight guests, with the option to add two additional guests for $45 each.
​
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes. Private fires are a great option for families celebrating together. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
​
Where are the fireworks?
You will have the best seat on the beach. The fireworks are launched from the Pier are visible directly above you.
​
Will staff remain on site?
Yes, we have several members on site for the duration. They load logs and keep the fires burning plus monitor the area to make sure only ticketed guests are within the Beach Party zone.

How close will my private fire be to other fires?
We will space the fires appropriately. Typically about 6 to10 feet apart.
​
What should I bring?
Bring a jacket or blanket for the ocean breeze and comfortable beach-friendly shoes. You are welcome to bring whatever you like.

What happens if the weather is cold?
This is an outdoor event, and December evenings on the beach can be chilly. Dress warmly and plan for the ocean breeze. Weather-related event updates will be communicated to booked guests.

Are there restrooms nearby?
Yes. There are restrooms at the beachfront park next to the boardwalk.
​
What if I am running late?
Your booking confirmation will contain a contact number that you can text. No worries, your seat or private fire will be waiting for you when you arrive.
​
If I want to arrive later than 9:30 is that OK?
That is totally up to you. Just text the number listed in your booking confirmation to give us a heads up.

Is there an option for over 10 people?
Yes, book more than one package. Each package seats 8 and has the option to add two guests.
​
Where do I park?
There are plenty of parking options. The closest is at Harvey Ave Beachfront Lot. Pay at the terminal after parking. There are several cash lots nearby. If dining at Ocean Deck Beach Bar prior to your fire, you are welcome to utilize their valet service. Plan to arrive early as the lots fill up fast. Daytona is very busy on New Year's Eve.
